Privacy policy

Last updated September 30, 2026. This is a starter document written for launch. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before it is relied on for compliance.

The short version

• The calculator runs in your browser. Your ZIP code, age and mileage are not sent to Insura.
• There are no accounts. Insura doesn't ask for your name, email, SSN, driver's license or payment details.
• Insura doesn't sell personal information.

Information you enter in the calculator

Your answers are used on your device to calculate an estimate. They are held in memory only while the page is open and are cleared when you leave or reload it. They are not stored in cookies, in local storage or on Insura's servers.

Information collected automatically

Hosting logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver Insura receive standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver and secure the site.

Analytics. When analytics is enabled, Insura uses a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics service to count page views and product events such as “calculator completed”. Events may include coarse, non-identifying values: the state your ZIP code is in, the vehicle type and the coverage level. They never include your ZIP code, age, mileage or anything that identifies you.

Advertising

Insura is designed to be supported by advertising, which may be provided by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalization in Google's Ads Settings and learn more in Google's policy on how it uses information from sites that use its services. If ads are not yet live on the site, no advertising cookies are set.

What we don't collect

Insura does not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, bank or card details, passwords, precise location or contact details.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Because Insura holds very little personal information, there may be nothing to provide or delete, but we will respond to any request. Contact us at our contact page.

Children

Insura is intended for adults and licensed drivers. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page will change with it.
