What Insura is

Insura helps U.S. drivers answer one question: what should my car insurance cost? It gives an estimated range in under a minute and shows which of your answers moved the number.

What Insura is not

Insura is not an insurance company, agent or broker. It doesn't sell policies, doesn't collect your details to pass to anyone, and doesn't provide quotes. Its estimates are educational.

How we work

• Transparent methodology. The whole model is published on the methodology page.
• No SSN required. The calculator never asks for identifying information.
• No obligation. There is no account, no sign-up and no follow-up.
• Educational estimates. Ranges, never a promised price.
• Privacy-first design. Estimates are calculated in your browser.

Where this is going

This is an early release. Coverage will grow to all 50 states, and the model's illustrative assumptions will be replaced with sourced data as it becomes available. Where information isn't available yet, the site says so.
